The IGS Schaumburg is an inclusive comprehensive school from grade 5-13, with a total school body of more than 1100 students and a staff of over 120 teachers and non-teaching staff. We offer degrees after grade 9, 10 and 13. We are an "environmental school" (Umweltschule) and also a "Non racist school"(German Project to fight Racism: "Schule ohne Rassismus, Schule mit Courage").

We are located in the Schaumburger Land, which is about 40km East of Hanover in the state of Lower Saxony in Northern Germany.

We have experience with different student exchange programs within the European Union (at the moment Spain and France) and beyond (USA).  In addition, many of our students have a multicultural background. Their parents are or were migrants and can therefore contribute to the project with their personal experiences. I come myself from another european country and I have my own experience with migrations, which I think could from that angle contribute to the project too.
